Ep. 6 - Kevin J. Bittorf, PhD: Consultant and Founder, Simulation LLC

Kevin Bittorf is an accomplished Senior Executive and Consultant with demonstrated success and a proven track record in pharmaceutical development, technical Innovation, and IoT. Leveraging his extensive experience in GMP, business development, contract manufacturing, and long-term strategy, Kevin partners with CEOs and executives to guide their companies through groundbreaking pharmaceutical advancement by evaluating strategy, attaining government approvals, and developing new and emerging technologies that improve the development lifecycle. 

Kevin developed Vertex’s continuous processing system using financial strategies and technical innovation that reinvented their manufacturing process while reducing their cost and product time to market. Using his innovation momentum, Kevin founded the Compaction Simulation Forum which examines how formulations perform at industrial manufacturing scale with using grams of material vs 100Kgs of material, saving the pharmaceutical companies millions of dollars in scale-up costs and providing more robust formulations. This led to Kevin’s position as the Head of Business Development and CMC strategy for Trek Therapeutic, a Bio-tech company that looked to treat HCV in emerging markets, where he licensed five new chemical entities (NCEs) within only a year’s time.

Kevin has written articles and continues as a key speaker at several conferences discussing topics such as IOT, Blockchain, Continuous Processing, QbD, and PAT. He maintains his drive to innovate manufacturing and formulation processes while providing business strategy and developing global partnerships throughout North America, Europe, and Asia as a leader in pharmaceutical consulting.
